Omnivore: I eat, I cook, I write. Many years ago, when my Dad asked me what I wanted to do for a living, I finally after weeks of self deliberating, told him “I want to be a chef”. Then he responded jokingly, “but then you’d have to be fat”. Then he saw my countenance fall, and rebutted “…but just make sure that whatever you do, that you enjoy what you do.”
So it is only fitting that I would end up marrying a Cook, and my last name is now Cook. I am originally from Alaska, living now in Marietta, Georgia and ironically, I am a member of the Cook Inlet Region Incorporation of Alaska, so why wouldn’t I marry a Cook? Being from Alaska I’ve eaten quite a number of “nontraditional” foods, and I’m still trying to find out how to enjoy what I do and get paid for it, but in the meanwhile, I love to cook. I love to bake. I love to find new ways to eat well and eat healthy, and inexpensively. And I love to share it with everybody.
